"Association Biostimulants in Agriculture"

(Arbeitskreis Biostimulanzien in der Agrikultur)
(ABISTA)

ABISTA emerged from the expert Symposium Micro‐organisms as agents between fertilization and plant protection which was attended by 62 delegates from 12 countries representing both industry and science. The meeting was organised by the Deutsche Phytomedizinische Gesellschaft (German Phytomedical Society), the Julius Kuehn Institute and the Fakultät Landwirtschaft und Gartenbau (Faculty of Agriculture and Horticulture) of the Humboldt University of Berlin and took place in 2014 in Braunschweig (Germany).

ABISTA aims to make available to foodstuff producers and those responsible for political decisions an insight into the available knowledge about natural and resource-saving production of foodstuffs gained in European research programmes, in particular the European research Network Biofector.

During the Symposium in Braunschweig it became clear that a comprehensive expertise about Bio-Effectors, in particular about the use of plant extracts and living organisms as bio-stimulants in agriculture, should be made public, and made available in relation to the politics of agriculture. See:
